 Cyber Security is the practice of protecting your system, networks and programs from digital attacks. The aim of these attacks is to access, modify or destroying your sensitive information or system and attackers do these attacks to extort money and or interrupting normal business services.

Why it is Important:

 In today's digital world everything is being connected to the internet and is digital including banks, academia, government and even public health facilities. The attackers always try to attack these assets, steal and or spread malware. To prevent such activities and secure system every organization need solid steps and technologies and here comes what is cyber-Security.

Cyber-Security is very broad field with several exciting fields and domains. Here are some major and important domains of cyber security are: 

1-Blue Team:

     The members of this team are known as defenders. Their aim is to protect the system, network and programs of the organization by implementing security techniques and tools within organization. They protect organization from digital attacks. They analyze network traffic, detect threats and respond to incidents.

  • SOC analyst.
  • Incident Respond.
  • Threat Detection.
  • Teaching Employees.




2-Red Team:

This team includes attackers that attack on the system of organization to check the security measures and ensure that the organization must be protected from external attacks and techniques. They carry out their activities in an ethical way. Their intention is not to harm the organization, but they check how much an organization is secure from external threats. 

Roles

  • Ethical Hackers.
  • Penetration testers.




3-Digital Forensic and threat Intelligence:

Digital Forensic is a domain of cyber security and it include the steps to investigate the cyber-crimes. and it uncovers how the attacks were performed and how systems were attacked. They try to find out the root cause crime and present in the court of law.

Roles:

  • Forensic analyst.
  • Threat Intelligence analyst.



4- Cloud Security

With increase in technology everything is being shifted on cloud. So, it is very important to secure the cloud storages. Here comes cloud security and is to protect the information stored on cloud storage.

Roles:

  • Cloud Security Engineer.
  • DevSecOps Specialist.




 Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC):

Ensures organizations follow laws, manage risk, and implement policies to protect it from external threats.
